WW2 Fire Brigades

1940... For those men and women of the fire services who served through 'The Blitz' 70 years ago, we are sure they will all remember the dangers of that period. Dangers which enhanced a particular sense of comradeship that they shared and still recall. Perhaps it may be left to their successors who serve today to celebrate the fact that under conditions the fire service had never before experienced or, thankfully, has never since seen, those veterans so well upheld the hard won traditions set by previous fire fighters. Let us not forget all that served, those that survived and especially those that did not. We owe them so much...
